With the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, many came to the Netherlands to escape the conflict and rebuild their lives. We at People for People saw there were so many talented individuals in need of employment and so many Dutch companies looking for new hires.
That’s why we created People for People Jobs in May 2022 matching job seekers with employers from our network. During the length of the program, we held 3 online matchmaking events and helped over 170 people get hired, including 150 via our partner Picnic. In addition to this, we also shared vacancies from trusted/screened partners via newsletters to help more people find employment opportunities and connect companies with great candidates.
While this program helped fill a great need, we will now be closing it to focus on more urgent humanitarian supply needs. However, we have compiled this handy guide with all of the most important platforms, websites, and job boards to help you find a job, no matter your experience level or field.
The top two websites for finding jobs in the Netherlands are by far Indeed (which is used by 54% of job seekers) followed by LinkedIn. An important thing to note is that, while Indeed features jobs for a wide range of skills and experience levels, LinkedIn is predominately focused on white-collar professionals.
