Bringing warmth to 1,500 children this winter

We have received an overwhelming amount of requests from 30 reception centers in the Netherlands where kids cannot go to school because they’re missing essentials like winter jackets, shoes, gloves, hats and other basics like underwear and socks.

We’re ready to hit the road in our red People for People van, crossing the Netherlands to bring warmth, comfort and personal gifts directly to these children. But we need your help!

Relief for displaced people in Lebanon

Since September 23rd, a crisis has unfolded in Lebanon. Within the first week, 120,000 people fled their homes seeking safety. Now, one month later, the number of displaced people has reached 1.2 million. Some of the displaced are Syrian refugees who have found themselves caught yet again in a dangerous situation with nowhere to go.

People for People cannot stand by as so many families struggle to survive. We are now working with local partners on the ground who are helping meet immediate needs and planning for longer-term solutions. At the moment, we are focusing on the most urgent need, food distribution, by providing warm meals, gas cookers and packages with ingredients families can use to cook meals.

With your help, we can continue supporting these people over the next weeks and expand our support to reach more families in need. Reach out to us via this form

What is a Rolling Aid Event?

Every month, People for People organise Rolling Aid Events at reception centres across the Netherlands. We start the day with bonding sessions, to connect one on one with the boys, sharing life stories and hopes for the future. We break for a delicious lunch from local caterers to provide food from the Middle East and Eastern Africa, and then finish the day with activities, provided by local trainers – basketball, football, breakdancing, and even chess! A fun day for all, we wish to deliver a day of energy, joy and fun for these boys!

Why are we doing this?

During these events, we create a day filled with fun activities, a warm lunch, and valuable moments of interaction with the residents.

With the help of our dedicated team of People for People volunteers, we facilitate engaging activities such as sports, crafts, and various workshops. But more than that, we strive to establish meaningful connections with the residents, making them feel valued and supported throughout the day.

Join us in making a difference in the lives of asylum seekers by supporting our Rolling Aid Events. Together, we can bring smiles, warmth, and a sense of community to those who need it most.
