Ongoing: Mobilising winter relief across Ukraine’s hardest-hit areas
When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the world stood still. Millions were forced to flee, while others stayed behind in unimaginable conditions. People everywhere wondered how to help those fleeing the violence – and those who remained. That call for action sparked the birth of People for People.
Just days after the war began, our founding partners – bunq, Bird, and Picnic – stepped up to provide immediate support. Since then, we’ve worked with local organisations, including Lifeline Ukraine, to deliver vital supplies to families enduring the ongoing crisis.
Delivering aid where it’s needed most
With winters growing more severe and basic infrastructure under pressure, we focus on getting the right help to the right places. Alongside trusted partners, we provide essential items, blankets, warm clothing, powerbanks, WiFi networks, hygiene items, and more – delivered directly to displaced people and frontline communities. Our mission is clear: no one should be left behind.
