Providing lifesaving food aid in Gaza: reaching families
In Gaza, the humanitarian crisis is growing more severe by the day. With 95% of the population lacking access to clean drinking water, widespread food shortages, and famine taking hold in the north, families are struggling to survive. The situation continues to evolve and remains critical.
Standing for humanity, People for People responded by working with research teams and local partners to identify the most urgent needs and act fast. Together, we distributed clean water, food parcels, baby milk, and hot meals – reaching displaced families across Gaza, from Mawasi Khan Yunis to Rafah and northern regions.
Meeting urgent needs in an ongoing crisis
In a time normally filled with joy, the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr looked different for many Gazans. But thanks to local partners, we were able to bring moments of dignity and comfort – warm meals, fresh vegetables, and even toys and cookies for children. Our efforts to reach aid in Gaza continue as the need for food, water, and support remains critical.
Results
Urgent relief delivered – there where it’s needed most
9,500+ people reached
We distributed 6,000 warm meals, 500 food parcels, 55 baby milk kits, and fresh vegetables across Gaza – offering relief to families.
3+ local partner-led projects
By working with local NGOs, we launched food and water aid initiatives in both northern and southern Gaza, and supported mental health counseling and food distribution for families with children. We continue to work closely with our partner Anera, who has already delivered over 20,000 essential items to the Gaza border — ready for distribution as soon as access is granted.
